Lee County Beef Program

Lee County Beef Program Lee County Beef Program is made up of FFA students and 4-Hers in Lee County who are completing steer and heifer projects.

The Lee County Beef Program assists young adults in completing steer and heifer projects. The program allows participants to learn responsibility, economics, and importance of beef production. Participants select calves in the fall of each year. Members halterbreak, feed, and care for their animals until show. Lee County Beef Program holds a show every April for its members and encourages members

to show at others such as the Bristol Steer and Heifer Show. Steer projects are sold and slaughtered at a USDA Grade facility participating in the Bristol Steer and Heifer Show- Carcass Competition. Heifers are returned home to herds for future production.
