TRAPS, PlayCore, GameTime, and Cunningham Recreation have once again joined forces through the Statewide Healthy Play Initiative to enrich the quality of life in communities across Texas.

Join us for one of the free interactive professional development events offering training experiences focused on how play and recreation are essential to creating healthier, happier communities.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Apply for the TRAPS Annual Scholarship Program and receive up to $1,000 to help cover Institute-related expenses such as registration, lodging, travel, and meals. Don’t let costs keep you from this incredible professional growth opportunity. Applications close Monday, December 1, 2025.

TEX-TERNSHIP PROGRAM
Are you 30 or younger and passionate about parks & recreation? Apply for the TRAPS TEX-ternship Program! Get paired with a mentor, attend Institute events, and receive a scholarship up to $1,000. Apply by December 1, 2025.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteers must be students or registered TRAPS members prior to the Institute and must work a minimum number of assigned hours during the event to qualify for waived conference registration. Volunteer applications will be accepted on an as-needed basis through Jan 9, 2026.
