Washington County, TN Long Term Recovery Group Welcome to the official page for the Washington County Long Term Recovery Group (WCLTRG). What is PII and Why Is It Dangerous?

WC-LTRG partners with faith-based organizations, volunteer & social agencies, governmental agencies, community organizations, businesses, and individual volunteers to address the spiritual, emotional & physical needs of those affected by Hurricane Helene. We are dedicated to supporting our community's recovery efforts, and part of that commitment is safeguarding your privacy. This statement is a c

rucial reminder and a strong discouragement against publishing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in public posts, comments, or replies on our page. Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is any data that could potentially identify a specific individual. Sharing this information publicly puts you and others at risk, which is especially sensitive during the recovery process. Please DO NOT share the following in public comments or posts:
• Your Full Name and Address: Especially when combined (e.g., "Jane Smith, I live at 123 Main St, my roof is damaged").
• Phone Numbers or Personal Email Addresses: These are often targeted by scammers, identity thieves, and phishing attempts.
• Case Numbers, Application IDs, or Client/File Numbers: These details should only be shared directly with a case manager through secure, private channels.
• Specific Financial Information: This includes bank account details, insurance policy numbers, or social security numbers.
• Detailed Medical or Health Information: Any sensitive personal health details should be kept private.
🛑 Our Urgent Request: Use Private Channels
The WCLTRG's public page is for general updates, announcements, resource sharing, and community engagement. It is NOT a secure platform for case management. To protect your privacy and ensure your recovery needs are addressed safely:
• For Case-Specific Inquiries: If you need to share PII, discuss your application status, or provide sensitive details related to your recovery case, please DO NOT post it on our wall or in the comments.
• Secure Contact Method: Instead, please send us a Private Message (PM) via Facebook Messenger or contact us directly using the official, secure contact information provided on our main website or the "About" section of this page. Your Responsibility and Risk
Anything you post publicly on this page can be viewed, saved, and shared by anyone, including search engines, scammers, and people with harmful intentions. We cannot control how other users or external parties misuse information you have made public. By keeping PII out of public view, you help us keep our community safe and ensure our team can focus on connecting you with the correct resources through secure means.
