OutNEA Community Check-In 💬🏳️🌈
We want to share an honest update with our community.
At this time, PRIDE planning is still taking shape. We are in active discussions with potential partners, but many details—including structure and support—are still being determined.
While those conversations continue, we also want to be transparent about where things currently stand. OutNEA has approximately $500 in our checking account, and in previous years PRIDE has required $20,000–$30,000 to produce.
PRIDE has always been powered by community. It takes months of planning, fundraising, outreach, logistics, and follow-through to make it successful. If this event is going to happen this year—regardless of the final structure—it will require people willing to step up and commit time and energy to the process.
That includes:
• Helping with fundraising and sponsorship outreach
• Contacting local businesses and individuals for support
• Assisting with planning, logistics, and coordination
• Being part of a consistent, working team
We understand that volunteering time is a big ask. This isn’t the flashy part—it’s the foundation. But if PRIDE is something our community wants to see continue, it will take shared effort to make it happen.
👉 Next Step: OutNEA would like to host a community interest meeting to talk openly about what it would take, answer questions, and see who may be interested in being involved.
