ction Children’s Assessment and Advocacy Center provides forensic interviews, family advocacy and therapeutic services for children all over the Southern Crescent who have been referred by local law enforcement or the district attorney’s office due to alleged sexual or physical abuse. All services are no-cost to the children and their non-offending family members. General information

CHILD AND FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER: Rainbow House, Inc. Child and Family Resource Center was founded in 1988 by a group of concerned community members to provide temporary shelter for abused, neglected, and abandoned children referred to the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS). The program is licensed by the Office of Regulatory Services to accommodate 20 children between the ages of 13-17 years. Currently, the shelter averages 15 children daily. Rainbow House, Inc. maintains affiliation with Child Advocacy Centers of Georgia, the Child Welfare League of America, the Southeastern Network, Georgia Association of Homes and Services for Children, the National Children’s Alliance, and Georgia Emergency Stabilization and Assessment Centers. We provide: Wrap Around Services Individual/Family/Group Therapy ILP—Independent Living Programs Incentive-Based Behavior Management Bio-Psychosocial Assessments RAINBOW CONNECTION CHILD ADVOCACY & ASSESSMENT CENTER (CAAC) Rainbow Connection Child Advocacy and Assessment Center (CAAC) primarily serves Clayton County children and adolescents between the ages of 3- 17 years who are suspected to have been sexually or physically abused. As much as possible, non offending caregivers are utilized to obtain a thorough history of the child and the alleged abuse. Caregivers are offered education on the dynamics and effects of sexual and physical abuse. In addition, supportive groups are offered to the victims, non-offending caregivers, and siblings. All services through our CAAC program are provided upon referral by Law Enforcement, the District Attorney’s office and the Department of Family and Children Services. The following services are provided at no cost to child victims of sexual or severe physical abuse: Forensic Interviews Forensic Evaluation Medical Services Therapeutic Services Multidisciplinary Team Staffing Family Advocacy SAFE PLACE In partnership with area QuikTrip stores and local fire departments, children experiencing conflict at home resulting in homelessness or runaway behavior may come to these SafePlace sites. Then, Rainbow House, Inc. will transport the child to the agency where they will receive a thorough assessment, safe and secure housing, family mediation and reunification services, advocacy services, and referrals for follow-up care.
