Jonesboro Masonic Lodge #111 A.F. & A.M. of Illinois Freemasonry and lodge acttivities of Jonesboro Lodge #111 Jonesboro Masonic lodge has a very proud history.

When freemasonry first came to Illinois,it was originally Chartered as Union Lodge #6, surrendering its charter to missouri and granted permission from the first Illinois Grand Lodge on December 14th, 1824. When the Grand Lodge of Illinois dispersed, the lodge hall at Jonesboro, re-chartered with Missouri, and was not granted dispensation until October 7, 1851. Renamed Jonesboro Masonic Lodge #111

, Jonesboro, Illinois, in the county of Union. Jonesboro has had regular meetings to date and still a very viable lodge.

Tomorrow. Saturday at 6pm we will eat and have our annual lodge officers installation following the meal. Lee Roy Rendleman was elected as worshipful master. A 61 year member who has never been a warden or master. This is very exciting for the members. We wish Lee Roy the best.

On April 12th the lodge will be having a pancake breakfast starts at 7:30 to 10:30 am. $7 for all you can eat, $5.50 carry out. Come and join in the good food and fun. All the proceeds will go to paying for the lodge an lodge repair.

On March 25 is our widows dinner. We are looking forward to having this anual meal. This year we will be able to have it in the down stairs part of the lodge building. I will be making lasanga ( home made) and garlic bread, an dessert will be my home made doctored up brownies. This is an open event. Looking forward to seeing you there.
