Our Mission is two-fold: Project X knows that homeowners, often through no fault of their own, face home maintenance issues that become burdensome, dangerous, and / or unhealthy. They may not be in a financial position to have repairs fixed, or they are in no position physically to repair them themselves. Whether it’s a problem with plumbing, heat and air, flooring in need of repair, or a dilapid
ated porch, now dangerous due to years of weather and age, Project X wants to be there to help! Not only assisting with home repairs, but also instilling a sense of pride in one’s home again, not to mention improving the aesthetics of the community as a whole. The second portion of our Mission is to give the community a way to volunteer working with:
*Young adults and teens through the court system
*Church groups
* School clubs
*Anyone with a skilled trade that sees the need and wants to help
While helping homeowners with costly repairs is a huge need in our communities today, so is mentoring to one another for a better tomorrow! Allowing youth and adults through the court system to assist a Project X Team Leader in the repairs would not only help the recipients but will also generate continuous volunteers for the projects and could quite possibly stir up an interest in a trade that could be a stepping stone in helping some of them for the rest of their lives! Project X is open to letting any group, club, organization or individual volunteer. There is nothing like the feeling of accomplishment in doing good for something or someone. Project X wants to get in on the Pay It Forward bandwagon!
