Immigrants are an essential part of America’s food system. 🌾 Deportation policies that disrupt the agricultural workforce could lead to labor shortages, rising food prices, and challenges for farmers and families alike.

Supporting immigrant communities also means recognizing their contributions to our nation’s economy and everyday lives. Let’s advocate for humane, fair, and thoughtful immigration policies.

In his first day of office, President Donald Trump made it clear that he intends to follow through on his campaign promise to dramatically increase the deportation of undocumented immigrants and use tariffs as a lever in executing his trade policies. But undocumented immigrants make up a critical po...

State and local law enforcement in Arkansas are partaking in Immigration and Customs Enforcements 287(g) program. There are three models — the jail enforcement model, the task force model, and the warrant service officer. Each model allows law enforcement to act as immigration officers in varying capacities. KASU reporter, Lexie Burns, spoke with Elna June, the director of Anaya's Way Immigration Advocates in Jonesboro. She warns that law enforcement participating in the 287(g) program can cause harm to immigrant communities and their families. A link to the full conversation is in the comments.

📚 LEGAL TERMINOLOGY 101: PUBLIC CHARGE

You've probably heard the term public charge in immigration discussions. But what does it mean?

Public charge is a legal concept that may affect whether certain applicants are eligible to enter the United States or obtain lawful permanent residence.

The rules depend on the immigration category and applicable exceptions. It does not mean that every person who receives public assistance is automatically ineligible for a Green Card.

⚠️ Don't rely on rumors when making important immigration decisions. Get information specific to your circumstances.

❤️ 30,000 Meals. One Mission.

Behind every meal is a story of compassion, a community coming together, and a reminder that no one should have to face hardship alone.

At Anaya’s Way, every meal served represents more than nourishment—it represents dignity, kindness, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

We are grateful to everyone who has helped make this mission possible. Together, we continue to turn compassion into action, one meal at a time. 🤝

Because sometimes, a simple meal can remind someone that they are not forgotten.
