Today is the day!

Join us today at Acadia National Cemetery in Jonesboro for our Wreaths Across America ceremony.

Ceremony begins at 12:00 noon

Everyone is welcome to attend this meaningful time as we come together to remember, honor, and teach — and to honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans.

We hope you’ll join us for this very special ceremony.

(The ceremony in Baring is tomorrow, Dec 14th)

DID YOU KNOW?

The tag shown in this image is attached to every single wreath by the individual who made the wreath.

It’s a gift for you. It isn’t trash… it’s a year-long promise.

After you place a wreath today and say a hero’s name, keep the tag! It reads:

“Today, I placed a Wreath on the Grave of an American Hero...”

Wreaths Across America Ceremonies – You’re Invited 🇺🇸

Community members — we would love to have you join us as we honor our veterans this weekend during our Wreaths Across America ceremonies.

Wreaths Across America is a national program whose mission is simple yet powerful: Remember our fallen heroes, Honor those who serve, and Teach the value of freedom to our future generations. Each December, volunteers across the country place handcrafted balsam veterans’ wreaths on the graves of those who served, ensuring their names and their sacrifices are never forgotten.

This year, our community has come together once again to donate every wreath needed for both ceremonies. We are so grateful for the generosity shown — these wreaths are truly gifts of remembrance from the people of Washington County.

We invite you to stand with us as we pause, reflect, and honor the men and women who served our nation.

ACADIA NATIONAL CEMETERY – Jonesboro

Each ceremony will include a brief program, ceremonial wreath presentations for each branch of the military, a moment of silence, and the laying of wreaths at veterans’ graves. All are welcome — whether you wish to place wreaths, watch the ceremony, or simply come to support our local veterans and their families.

If you’ve never attended a WAA ceremony before, it is a meaningful, moving experience for all ages. Please feel free to share this invitation so others in our community can join us.
