The Clayton County Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisors are happy to announce this year 2026 Poster contest winners. CCSWCD selected grades 4th, 5th and 6th grade students that lives in Clayton County. We are happy to award our 1st place winner is a 5th grader from E.W. Oliver Elementary and she won $75.00, the 2nd place winner is a 4th grader from MIA Academy Homeschool and she won $50.0, the 3rd place winner is a 4th grader from Kilpatrick Elementary School and she won $25.00. Congratulations to the winners and to all students that submitted their poster. The supervisors Mr. Small, Ms. Cooper and Dr. Deetra Poindexter are so excited and proud of all of the Clayton County students.

Yes it’s school time. It’s that time when we go into the school and help our young scholars learn about health eating, good soil, water and nutrition. Today at Tara Elementary Ms. Denise Johnson from Farm Bureau and Dr. Deetra Poindexter from Clayton County Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor helped the scholars made an eatable compost.

We are glad that Clayton County Soil and Water Conservation District Elected Supervisor Dr. Deetra Poindexter seat on the GACD Board. She work hard to ensure what is expected from the government requirement and making sure that CCSWCD Supervisors carry out and make it happen that we are doing the will of the Agriculture Government to get the message to the people to take full advantage of grants through the initiative of programs by NRCS, Farm Bureau, GACD, UGA, Water Authority, LIA’s, and local government.

By the way you can win prizes like 1st place get $75.00, 2nd place $50.00, and 3rd place $25.00. We are sure you have the skills, thoughts and ideas to help the world stay health with good soil and water.
