Pt. 2!

What an incredible evening!

On behalf of the African American Business Association (AABA), thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored, volunteered, performed, supported, and celebrated with us at our 2026 Juneteenth CEO Celebration & Awards Gala.

This event was truly a celebration of freedom, resilience, entrepreneurship, leadership, and the collective impact we can make when a community comes together with purpose.

Congratulations to our outstanding honorees, whose excellence continues to inspire and uplift our region. Thank you to our sponsors and partners whose investment helps us advance opportunities for Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs throughout Will County and beyond.

A special thank you to our Gala Chairs, Laurie Veasy and Scondreka Lee, whose leadership, dedication, and countless hours of service helped make this event a tremendous success.

To our volunteers, staff, Board of Directors, performers, vendors, keynote speakers, and every guest who joined us thank you for believing in the mission of AABA.

As we reflect on another successful gala, we also honor those who helped build this organization and paved the way for where we are today. Their legacy continues through the work we do together.

The photos are finally here! 📸

Take a look, tag your friends, share your favorite moments, and help us celebrate an unforgettable evening of Black excellence, community impact, and business leadership.

This weekend I had the privilege to attend the African American Business Association of Will County Juneteenth CEO Celebration and Awards Gala. It is always so wonderful to attend, visit with friends and hear about new exciting things happening in our community. What an honor it was to take a moment of these two outstanding gentlemen's time and congratulate them on their accomplishments! Mr. Jaron Nabors (on my left) is the recipient of New Business of the Year Award. Mr. Joseph Awinongya Jr. (on my right and former student of Joliet District 86) is the recipient of the Young Professional of the Year. The future is bright with leaders like these in our community!
