Keeping with the tenets of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. -- Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love & Finer Womanhood -- our Charter Members began to work within the Joliet and surrounding areas to enhance the lives of many community members. As the chapter grew, their reputation as a foremost graduate chapter in the Will County area also grew. Sadly, the chapter went into limbo during the late 1990’s. But all was not lost, because during the early months of 2005, fourteen motivated, determined and reclaimed Sorors gathered to reestablish the Eta Chi Zeta legacy. On April 6, 2005, they were officially rewarded and "A Chapter of Masters" was born. Since reactivation, the Eta Chi Zeta chapter has made a difference in Will County by their service efforts AND in the world of Zeta, as chapter members have been elected and/or appointed to National, Regional & State Officer positions. For over a decade, Eta Chi Zeta chapter members have sustained the Zeta Phi Beta legacy of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood.
