ATTENTION COMMUNITY MESSAGE FROM OUR TEAM PRESIDENT:
“Hello everyone, I hope everything is going great for our children in the community. For our multiple sport athletes we hope your in-season journeys find respect, compassion & championships. We expect you to dominate the field and classroom as well, and as for athletes not in other sports we hope your school year is going good and you are respecting your peers and teachers.
Unfortunately on January 24th, my father passed away and since then I have felt a void in my life. My father was my best friend, tutor, coach as well as a great parent. To know he impacted so many lives including me and my siblings is just wonderful. Everyone has a story about his hilarious sense of humor, or his gourmet chef cooking skills and also the thing me and him have the most in common: Our drive and love for football.
I’m sending this message out to let the community know we will not be actively trying to pursue a competitive schedule this season, we will continue to host free workouts and give away and sell spiritwear as well as continuing our Deonte T. Lesley Gentlemen’s Club program. I have a great support team around me but I do not want to put out anything where my mind is fully invested. I’m going to use this year to learn how to grieve and process this all. The biggest thing is i’m going to have to learn how to live without my assistant coach through life, but we’re not done. We will be back & We will WIN.
I will be letting my Vice President handle our team responsibilities for the next couple months while I take a break from all of my business ventures and get right mentally as well as physically. We will be back for the 2023 Season. I love you guys & my heart is the community. I will do everything in my power to make sure we have a winning mentality around the town again.
With Love,
Johnny Holman JR.”
