Hello longboard race fans. We regret to inform everyone that we are CANCELING the February races. As we did our best snow dances for this week they didn't produce how we desired. Although we did get some snow overnight with the forecast changing it just isn't enough to project a safe race course for the racers.
Although this months races are off, we are looking at a promising forecast to have our community ski days. By the looks of it we will probably need help with storm cleaning up, volunteer help is always welcome.

Hear ye, hear ye! The races are on!!!!!! Racing starts at high noon this Sunday 3/16! Racers sign up by 11:15. Limited rentals available for racers; early arrival recommended. Beer and food available for purchase. Please bring your own cup or purchase a commemorative steel pint. Disposable plastic cups will not be available. More details to come, but for now—see you at the hill! Long live longboards!!!!

Although we got a little snow in the last storm and are expecting a bit more this week, it’s just not enough coverage folks. Do your snow dances and hope for a March Miracle so we can host the World Championship Longboard Races in March!

So sorry to have to report that the Longboard Races for February 16 have been canceled due to lack of snow. Even with the upcoming storm there won't be enough to run a race. Hoping we can put on the final race of the season next month on March 16. Stay tuned for more updates.

With heavy hearts we must reschedule our summer concert due to the Mill Fire (aka the Gold Complex) in eastern Plumas County. Some of our Ski Club board members and volunteers are under evacuation orders/warnings, and there’s just too much going on to try to carry out a concert this weekend. Boogie down to their incredibly fun tunes while supporting the Ski Club as we fundraise for our efforts to get a surface lift in operation. More details to come, but for now, MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!! WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP LONGBOARD RACES START AT HIGH NOON TOMORROW!!!!

It’s looking like a beautiful day up on the hill!! Here’s some important info about the big day:
-No spittin’ and no cheatin’
-Racers register by 11:15. A limited amount of longboard skis are available to rent for an additional cost.
-Races start at 12pm
-Parking shuttle from will be providing a lift for those who have to park farther away! Shuttle is free but tips are appreciated
-Food from and beer from & will be available for purchase!
-Merch will be available as well! Cash or Venmo
-After party at to help fundraise for the Ski Club!!!!!!

BBQ and beer available for purchase (bring cash💰). We encourage you to carpool, but a shuttle will be available if you end up parking down yonder.
