Storm Damage Update
The recent storm has caused significant damage throughout the borough and surrounding areas. Crews worked throughout the overnight hours to make roads passable and safe for travel. Our Southmont road crew was also out working in the dark, clearing as much tree debris and storm damage as possible.
With numerous downed power lines and damaged utility poles reported throughout the area, please continue to use extreme caution when traveling. Do not approach or drive over downed power lines, and report any hazards to the appropriate authorities.
Penelec is aware of the widespread power outages throughout the area, and crews are working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible. We ask everyone to remain patient and allow crews the time and space they need to complete their work.
We appreciate everyone’s patience, cooperation, and understanding as our crews and utility personnel continue working to get our community back to normal.
