A Special Election at mid-summer has been mandated by the State. It will take place on Tuesday, August 8th
It will be a “single issue‟ ballot, with one question, asking whether to raise the criteria from fifty to sixty percent, on future ballot issues, to pass proposed amendments to the state constitution.
*While this is a single item election – it is a very important consideration as it would make future amendments to the state constitution more difficult to be approved with the higher vote threshold.
