However, we choose to commit to give back the gift of recovery to an individual who would not otherwise be able to obtain treatment. HISTORY
Our Brothers Keeper is a ministry that originated in the heart of a student who was in treatment at Peniel. During his time in the program, he recognized the selfishness of the addictive lifestyle. He and his classmates committed to giving back the gift of r
ecovery to individuals who would not otherwise be able to financially obtain treatment. So they would hold fundraising events in order to raise money to go towards a scholarship fund. They set a goal of $1,000 to be able to present to Peniel every Graduation. CURRENT
We are happy to say that we are growing and expanding! Although raising money to help with individual’s treatment costs is still a priority, members of the OBK are committed to more! During ongoing treatment and Christian character development, OBK members will continue to learn and grow as Christian Servant Leaders within their families, churches, and communities. It is the goal that OBK members not only achieve their goal of lifelong sobriety but make a positive contribution to the Kingdom of God where ever they are called to serve. VISION
Our vision is to take the OBK outside the walls of Peniel. By opening membership to our many graduates throughout the globe ministry opportunities are endless. We plan to utilize this as a tool for alumni to stay connected and continue the work that they have began here in treatment in whatever state they return to. We want to start small however our vision for this is huge.
