Friends,

Christmas is a season of blessings and this year my sisters and I want to bless the residents of Rest Assured Residential Living where our father resides. The facility specializes in Dementia/Alzheimer patients. We’re collecting items to make up individual gift bags for each resident containing items that will most bless those receiving. We hope to collect enough items to provide 30 gift bags, If we have more, we will see that gift bags are provided for another local facility.

If you want to help us spread some joy and Christmas cheer, below is a list of items needed. If you want to help, please let me know what item(s) you purchase so we can coordinate items to be sure we have enough of each. I’m happy to make arrangements to pick up or they can be dropped off at my home. (Or ordered online and shipped to me.)

Each gift bag will contain the items below. Some may seem unconventional but are favorites of the residents:
• throw blanket
• fuzzy socks
• music cd – they love music!
• body wash
• lotion
• poppers (fidget toys) or squishy balls
• dog toys that make noise
• packaged cookies or crackers
• gift bag

Let your light shine and help us make this Christmas brighter for these residents! I will need donations by December 10th.

Hello friends! I'm collecting new toys for Children's and Youth Services of Cambria County. You can drop off donations at my home or private message me to make arrangements for pick up. I will also accept monetary donations which will be used to purchase toys. Let your light shine and help make this Christmas brighter for these children! Thank you!!

Hello friends,

I’m beginning a journey of faith. God calls us to be both salt and light in this world. For several years, it's been on my heart to find a way to use my time and talents to serve others, but never sure how to begin. I was blessed to spend time with my daughters over the Mother's Day weekend, and they encouraged me to "just start somewhere". And so, the journey begins…

As I take this leap of faith to see where it leads, I’m reaching out to my friends and family for your support and your prayers. I’m calling my project Salt and Light Connections. Through this project, we will connect those in need, with those who have a desire to help.

There is so much need in our local areas, which is amplified even more with everything going on today. People are hungry, people are lonely, people are frustrated, concerned, scared and ill. If you or anyone you know has a specific need, please reach out to let me know what those needs may look like. This could be something listed below or perhaps something else entirely.

 basic necessities and food
 running an errand
 picking up a prescription or groceries
 providing a ride to a doctor appoint
 mowing a yard, raking leaves, planting some flowers
 cleaning or laundry
 help with childcare
 advocacy
 prayers
 phone calls or visits

I have been so blessed in every area of my life, and now it’s time for me to share those blessings with others and serve in His name. “Dear children let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth” (1 John 3:18).

If you are blessed and you or anyone you know is able to help, please reach out to let me know how you might be able and willing to help. As you can see above, it can be time, talents or monetary. (At this time I won’t be taking monetary donations directly, but rather connecting those willing to help with the specific person, family or organization that has a financial need).

Thank you for keeping me and this project in your prayers. I hope that this is the first step in the direction of this desire God has placed on my heart and that it will lead where He allows. Let’s be God’s hands and feet here on earth!
