I was a slave to addiction but receive daily pardon through gratitude & humility. We are trusted servants here to travel the trail beside you as many have done before us Sober River Ranch is a recovery center proposed in the middle of a working ranch. The mission is to live a life of gratitude and humility on a daily basis along with an earnestness to help others. The idea is to learn how to work
together and learn how to handle situations that once baffled us. Our program is centered around a Higher Power. From the initial intake encompassing both medical and mental health assessments, a plan of action is agreed upon by both the client and assigned guide as a suggested path. We recognize that to achieve any real sobriety and awareness we need to surrender the notion that some how, some day our previous path would be successful. Currently raising funds for property purchase in Florida. Also taking donations for Saddles, Fence, Tack, Building Materials. My commitment to this cause stems from heart ache over the loss of my 21 year old Son Dalton six years ago. Despite being sober myself for 25 years at the time I was helpless in helping him... I thought if I could just keep Him alive long enough He would get it, He would finally understand that to find peace He would need to surrender every day, one day at a time. Dalton was a 6'4'' handsome athlete with a boyish charm that made him so dam loveable being enabled was not a problem. Dalton had a reputation for always being there for others no matter what.... I could go on for hours about my Son, like most who have lost or have loved ones in the grip of addiction they are outstanding incredible people when clean and sober. I'm so blessed as my Son Dakota followed somewhat in his big brothers footsteps...DUI, kicked out of school, fired but after attending a long term treatment center Dakota slowly surrendered to a simply way of living. Dakota has been clean & sober for 2 years now and is a part of SRR, I am truly blessed. As a man of God my trust in Him knows no bounds and He has always without fail provided what is needed. If you find yourself in a place where hope can not be found call me anytime I know of a place where mercy and hope abound endlessly.
