Mama would not go in the trap so I’ll come back for her once she is trap trained.

I had to step in to help out in a solo kitten rescue the other night. He’s the last one from the litter and was hard to get because mama was accidentally caught before him. Remember, catch mama last or the babies will not come out. They rely on mama for the confidence they need to walk to the food bowl and away from the den.

This little guy was a solo kitten that was staying around the local Walmart in Warwick, RI.
Employees were feeding him so he was kinda on a feeding schedule and staying in the area.
I got a tip he was around waiting for food one evening so I managed to find the time after work to go trap him. It took about two hours of wait time but he finally got hungry for dinner and went in the small kitten trap. He’s about 3 months old.
There were no other kittens or mama around but there has been cats in this spot before. We’re not sure where the other siblings are or the mama but this guy is definitely feral but young enough to tame up.
He might have just hit hitched a ride from under a car to end uo here. I’ve definitelyhad to deal with that before.
I’ll be getting him to a foster/tamer soon.

Disregard any adds attempting to sell Hope Cat Rescue merchandise.
This is all fake advertising from within the comments section.
If I were to sell anything to the public, it would be written in an add in a post that I would create.
Not a second party in the comments .
Use your common sense.
Don’t ever try to buy things from the adds in the comment section from any page. Those adds are an obvious scam.

Sometimes you just grab them up.
Play some kitten sounds off your phone and they will pop their heads out. This one was the perfect age for that. Sometimes they’re older and put up a fight, this guy is just about 5 weeks.

Last kitten from West Warwick.
I had to put the remote trap on the rock wall in the cemetery and wait for her to come out.
Next I used the kitten as a lure to get the mama to go in the trap.
5 kittens in total and mama seems half tame for now. She needs a foster home to relax a bit.

It has now been 9 years of constant cat trapping for me.
Thank you Scruffy Paws, Pet Refuge, East Bay Pawswatch and all my donators for helping me acomplish my goals.
I finally had time to sit down and go over my notes to get my rescue numbers for 2025.
This year was tough. I work full time as a welder and part time as an Uber driver I squeeze in cat rescue when I can but only really have time for emergencies. Pregnant cats, mamas and kittens, sick, injured and lost at an unformilliar location.
Not too much colony or TNR work.
I can’t hold and process cats properly.

In 9 years of work I’ve acomplish approximately 650 kittens trapped.
Another 550 born inside from pregnant trapped mama cats.
Thats over 1000 kittens taken off the streets.
I don’t really have accurate numbers. I’m just going off averages.
I lost a lot of my records recorded on old phones.
