It takes a village, and with the upcoming school break, we anticipate needing to serve families whose children usually get breakfast and lunch at school. Now would be a terrific time to donate either unexpired food or money to help us purchase more food. Stop by the food shelf during service hours or message for pick up or more details. Thank you!

A note from a community member:

In my great time of need recently, the Johnson Food Shelf and their wonderful staff helped me get through a very tough time in my life. They delivered groceries to my apartment in the cold, at night, and brought them upstairs when I wasn't physically able to. I will forever cherish and appreciate the help and wonderful conversations in my home with the volunteers.

Making jewelry is therapeutic for me, and I would like to give back to them. I am raising money by selling bracelets I made for $30 each, and will donate the proceeds to the Food Shelf at the Chili Cook Off tomorrow. I will be serving chili there, as well!

If you want to special order a piece of jewelry, leave a comment below!

See you at the chili cook off! 🌶🫘🍛
