The Johnson Food Shelf is a volunteer-run food pantry in Johnson, VT. Everyone is welcome to come in for groceries or help stock the shelves.

The Johnson Food Shelf is looking for a new board member, as well as volunteers, to help work 1-2 shifts a month. Our food shelf is small, but mighty, and is run completely by volunteers.

Come join a group of fun, dedicated community members - some of whom have been doing this important work for over 25 years. ❤️

We’re open Tuesdays & Fridays from 9:00 – 12:00 and Wednesdays from 4:00 – 6:00 at 661 Railroad St., Johnson. Our number is 802-635-9003.

For the month of September, Hannaford in Morrisville will donate a portion of the proceeds for each reusable bag they sell back to the Johnson Food Shelf. If you’ve been thinking about refreshing your bag stash, now is the time! Please share this post and spread the word.

Charles and Morna Flaum from Discover Johnson attended our board meeting this week to present us with a check for $1200 raised through selling baked goods at the Blueberry Fest earlier this month! We are so grateful for their time and efforts in providing such a joyful, fun and community-spirited event and their donation to the food shelf is the icing on the cake!

If you are a community member in need of food, please visit the food shelf (hours and address in bio) or call 635-9003 to arrange a delivery during open hours. You do not have to live in Johnson to utilize our services - all are welcome!

We are looking for more volunteers to work a monthly shift or pick up food donations from local stores. We are a fun and dedicated group and would love more folks to come and experience why our volunteers come back year after year. Contact us!

Shout out to Russell Locke, a super cool local kid who donated $150 to the food shelf! He ran a lemonade stand (with the option of blueberry syrup) during the recent Johnson Blueberry Festival and donated all the proceeds to help his neighbors! Thank you for your support, Russell!

They say it takes a village, and we are so grateful to have 9 year old Cora Greenblatt in ours! For the second time, Cora donated the profits from her lemonade stand to help her neighbors, and delivered it to us in this cool envelope. Thank you, Cora!
