✨ MentalHealth Reminders

Life gets loud. School gets stressful. People expect a lot from you. Here are some reminders worth saving, sharing, and coming back to when things feel heavy.

You’re allowed to take up space: Your voice, your feelings, your boundaries — they matter.

You don’t have to be perfect to be worthy: Progress > perfection. Always.

You can rest without earning it: Breaks aren’t a reward — they’re part of staying healthy.

You’re stronger than the moment you’re in: Hard days don’t define you.

You’re allowed to say no: To pressure, to negativity, to anything that drains you.

You’re learning, growing, and figuring it out: That’s something to be proud of.

You’re not alone: Reach out to a friend, trusted adult, or someone who cares. Connection helps.

Save this. Share this. Come back to this.

Parents and caregivers: small conversations can make a big difference.

SAMHSA’s “Talk. They Hear You.”® campaign reminds us that talking with kids early and often about alcohol and other drug use helps them feel prepared, supported, and confident making healthy choices.

Watch this short PSA and use it as a conversation starter with the youth in your life. Prevention starts at home—and it starts with one honest talk.

🚫💊 “Prescription Drugs Are No Big Deal…” WRONG.

A lot of teens think prescription meds are safer than alcohol or illegal drugs. But abusing them — taking more than prescribed or taking meds that aren’t yours — is dangerous, addictive, and illegal.

Here’s what you’re REALLY risking:

❗️Painkillers can affect your brain the same way he**in does

❗ Sleeping pills can slow breathing and heart rate — and mixing them with alcohol, pain meds, or cold medicine can make it even more dangerous.

❗ Misusing ADHD medications can cause irregular heartbeats, seizures, or other serious health problems.

Just because something comes from a pharmacy doesn’t mean it’s safe to share, take, or misuse.

Protect your mind, your body, and your goals. If you’re feeling pressured or have questions, talk to a trusted adult, counselor, coach, or healthcare provider. You don’t have to handle it alone.

🚨💥 TEENS: Overdoses Are Real & Knowing the signs of an overdose can save a life.

Opioid overdoses can be quiet and easy to miss — look for signs like being unresponsive, slow or struggling breathing, blue/gray lips or nails, or pinpoint pupils. If you think someone may be overdosing, call 911 immediately, stay with them, and use naloxone if available.

Naloxone is safe, easy to use, and can reverse an opioid overdose. Your awareness could help protect your friends, classmates, and community. 💛
