Unfortunately another vehicle v. cyclist accident in our area has resulted in serious injury. CX pro racer Tofik Beshear collided with a car on a gravel road and was airlifted to an ICU unit here in Johnson City. Tofik is a student at Lees-McRae and a rising star in Cyclocross having just won the USCX series. More details below along with a link to donate towards his medical expenses.

Here is an update from the GoFundMe campaign for the Milligan University Cycling Team.

I want to thank everyone again for contributing and supporting these young Milligan riders. I am pleased to report that we transferred more than $25,000 to Milligan and it will be used to purchase safety equipment and provide direct monetary relief to the riders in the peloton that day. The money can make things happen but the support and love from the community is truly priceless. Thank you everyone who supported with your wallets or simply with your support. I will leave the fundraiser open for another few weeks for any last minute donations and then it will be closed out.

Tennessee NICA races are here in JC this weekend! This is how we get more kids on bikes so please make time for this! Links below for more info and volunteer registration.

Johnson City is gearing up to host the NICA race at Winged Deer Park, and we need as many volunteers as possible to help make it a success—it truly takes a village! Come support our local student athletes!

Event Dates:
• Saturday, October 10, 2026
• Sunday, October 11, 2026

Please note that the trails will be shut down during pre-ride and racing, but you are more than welcome to bring your bike and ride the course before or after the events.
