✨ The Art of Renewal - What a Night! ✨
Our hearts are incredibly full after last night’s Families Free "Art of Renewal" fundraiser.

Against the beautiful backdrop of the East Tennessee mountains, our community came together for an evening filled with friendship, generosity, laughter, and—most importantly—hope.

To every guest who joined us, every sponsor and donor who supported us, every person who raised a paddle, bid on an auction item, volunteered their time, or simply came to learn more about our mission: thank you. 💙

Your generosity reaches far beyond one beautiful evening.

We are also incredibly grateful for our Families Free team, Board of Directors, community partners, and friends who worked behind the scenes to make this evening possible.

As we continue to honor Dolly Parton’s legacy, we’re reminded that her greatest impact goes far beyond her music.

Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to giving back have touched countless lives.

Thank you, Dolly, for showing us that a generous heart can leave a lasting legacy. 🦋

Our Families Free leadership team recently traveled to Chicago for the Global Leadership Summit, spending time learning, growing, and gaining new perspectives alongside leaders from around the world.

One message from Craig Groeschel especially resonated with us:

“Leadership maturity isn’t measured by what you know, but by what you notice.”

With approximately 100 staff members across Families Free, we believe strong leadership is about more than leading an organization—it’s about continually learning how to better support our staff, serve our participants, and strengthen the communities that trust us.

We’re grateful for opportunities to step away from the day-to-day, learn from others, strengthen our team, and return home with renewed energy and new ideas for the work ahead. 💙

When we invest in our leaders, we strengthen our ability to restore lives, strengthen families, and build healthier communities across Northeast Tennessee.

Nineteen Years of Hope and Healing Families ...

Nineteen years ago, our founder, Lisa Tipton, had a simple but powerful vision: To help individuals recover while keeping families together whenever possible.

That vision continues to guide everything we do.

🗺️ Every location on our map represents more than a building or a program—it represents lives restored, children reunited with parents, families strengthened, and communities made healthier through recovery, mental health services, housing, recovery courts, and compassionate support.

Over the past 19 years, thousands of individuals have discovered that recovery is possible and that healing extends far beyond one person—it reaches children, spouses, parents, grandparents, and future generations.

This milestone belongs to every client who chose hope, every family who never gave up, every staff member who answered the call to serve, and every partner who has stood beside us along the way.

As we celebrate 19 years of service and approaching 100 employees we remain committed to the vision that started it all: restoring lives, strengthening families, and building healthier communities—one person, one family, and one story at a time.

Thank you for being part of our journey. The best is yet to come. ❤️

Family Day at Roan Mountain ❤️🏔️

There is something incredibly powerful about seeing families reunited around a table.

Last week, over 100 people (residence, staff, and family members) enjoyed a meaningful “family visit” at our Men’s Residential Recovery Center at Roan Mountain.

Together, we shared laughter and heartfelt conversations. While the food was abundant, the greatest gift wasn’t something that could be served on a plate—it was the opportunity for children, spouses, parents, grandparents, and loved ones to reconnect with the men they have been faithfully cheering on throughout their recovery.

Recovery doesn’t just transform one life—it restores families.

Each visit strengthens relationships, rebuilds trust, renews hope, and reminds these men why they continue choosing recovery one day at a time. Family Day is one of the most meaningful milestones in their journey.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated staff, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this special day possible. Your generosity and servant hearts made lasting memories for so many families.

Because when one life is restored, an entire family can begin to heal. ❤️

❤️🤍💙 Happy Independence Day 💙🤍❤️

On this Fourth of July, we celebrate freedom, unity, and the opportunity to build a better future.

At Families Free, Independence Day carries a deep meaning. We are reminded that true freedom is not only found in history—it is also found in the lives of individuals and families who choose healing, recovery, and restoration every day.

Recovery is a journey toward independence from addiction, fear, and brokenness—and toward hope, stability, and new beginnings.

Today, we honor both the freedoms we share as a nation and the personal freedom so many are courageously fighting for. ✨

Wishing everyone a safe, joyful, and meaningful Independence Day spent with loved ones.
