Sweet? Yes. A little zesty? Also yes. Basically, I’m the perfect mix — just like my name.

I’m a playful little puppy with a bright personality and a love for anything fun. Toys, exploring, zoomies… I’m all about it. If there’s something new to check out, I’m probably already on my way, tail wagging and ready to see what happens next.

I’ve got a fun, bubbly energy, but I also know how to settle in for some cozy time once I’ve worn myself out. Play hard, nap harder — that’s my motto.

I’m still learning all the puppy things — what’s mine to chew (and what’s *apparently not*), how to be the best companion, and how to make my people laugh every day. With patience, love, and a little training, I’ll grow into a loyal girl who brings a little sweetness and a little sparkle into your life.

Basically, I’m your daily dose of cute with just the right amount of sass.

📢📢📢URGENT NEED!📢📢📢
We try to keep a light heart here at AHHS. We see a lot of sadness and hurt in our day-to-day, and we also see joy. We see it when an animal finally feels safe enough to reach out for affection, and when they are finally able to find their forever home. Those moments make it all worth it. That is what we focus on to get through the day to day tasks. Honestly though folks, it isn't easy. Our staff and volunteers work tirelessly to clean and care for intakes before they go to foster, and as a 100% non-profit organization, we rely solely on the donations we receive.
That is why we are asking you for your help. We are on very low supply of linens. We go through quite a lot and as you've seen our recent posts of sick animals, we have had our hands full. They do not need to be brand new, or name brand. We use gently used, any size. We have many uses for them so anything from washcloths to large towels, pillowcases, sheets, blankets. If it has reached the end of it's life with you, let it comfort a scared, sick animal that finally has a warm place to rest their paws.
We will be eternally grateful and so will the animals in our care.

Donations can be dropped off at our building:
2101 W. Walnut St in Johnson City.

We are open Tuesday through Saturday 10am-5pm, however donations can be dropped off 7 days a week. If we aren't open, leave them under the awning by the steps and we will bring them in.

**🖤 Clara & Cora – Twice the Love, One Perfect Pair 🖤**

Some cats choose each other, and Clara and Cora are a beautiful example of that. These bonded sisters have been side by side through life's changes, and they're looking for a forever home where they can continue their journey together.

Clara is the social butterfly of the duo. She’s curious, friendly, and usually the first to come over and see what you’re doing. Whether she's supervising household activities, investigating a new toy, or settling in for a nap, Clara likes to be part of the action.

Cora is a little more thoughtful and takes her time getting to know new people. Once she feels comfortable, though, her sweet personality shines through. She enjoys affection, cozy spots, and keeping close to the people and feline friends she trusts.

Together, they make the perfect pair. They can often be found curled up together, sharing a sunny window, or quietly keeping each other company. They enjoy toys, treats, comfortable places to lounge, and the comfort of having one another nearby.

Clara and Cora don't need a lot of excitement to be happy. They're looking for a home where they can enjoy life's simple pleasures: a soft bed, a sunny spot, loving people, and most importantly, each other.

A soft bed.
A family to love.
A place to call home.
And a forever goodbye to waiting. 🐾💔

Sabrina has been waiting for over a year for someone to choose her, and we just can’t understand why. This beautiful girl is kennel trained, leash trained, loves spending time with her people, and has so much love to give.

She enjoys walks, adventures, cozy days at home, and being right by your side. Sabrina would do best as the only pet in the home, where she can soak up all the attention and affection she deserves.

We’ve watched her go on lake vacations, settle into foster care, make memories, and win over everyone she meets. The only thing missing is a family of her own.

Every time we post Sabrina, we hope it’s the post that reaches her person. The one who sees her sweet face and says, “That’s my dog.”

If you haven't heard, we are a having a kitten yoga party tomorrow! 🧘Even though we will focus mainly on cats pose, they won't mind some downward dog as well.
