Please enjoy these weekly words of wisdom from Thich Nacht Hanh:

Contemplation on No Coming, No Going

This body is not me.
I am not limited by this body.
I am life without boundaries.
I have never been born,
and I have never died.

Look at the ocean and the sky filled with stars,
manifestations from my wondrous true mind.

Since before time, I have been free.
Birth and death are only doors through which we pass,
sacred thresholds on our journey.
Birth and death are a game of hide-and-seek.

So laugh with me,
hold my hand,
let us say good-bye,
say good-bye,
to meet again soon.

We meet today.
We will meet again tomorrow.
We will meet at the source every moment.
We meet each other in all forms of life.

πŸƒ Sitting in quiet meditation or stepping away from the rush of daily life helps us nourish the mind and see ourselves clearly. Yet, the understanding and peace we cultivate in those moments truly deepen when we bring the practice into our daily lives.

Our home becomes a place of practice when we speak with gentleness to our family. Our workplace becomes a place of practice when we meet pressure without passing it on to others. A simple meal can be a reflection of gratitude. A difficult conversation can teach us patience and understanding. Even a moment of sadness can invite us to hold our own hearts with tenderness and compassion.

Practice is not bound to a specific place, posture, or hour. It continues wherever we are. Every thought, word, and action offers a chance to cultivate understanding and peace.

At first, practice may feel like something we intentionally set aside time to do. We remind ourselves to be mindful, to pause, to breathe, to respond with kindness instead of reacting. But as we become accustomed to living this way, something quietly changes. Practice begins to feel less like something we are doing and more like the way we naturally live.

We no longer need to separate practice from life, because life itself becomes the practice. We walk with awareness, speak with care, listen with presence, and meet each moment with a more awake heart.

May we welcome each day as a place of practice, until practice is no longer simply something we do, but a peaceful and awakened way of living.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. πŸ™
