October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to support survivors, and remind our communities that everyone deserves safety, respect, and healthy relationships.

At CCAHT, we know that domestic violence and human trafficking can intersect. For some survivors, experiences of abuse, coercion, and exploitation are deeply connected. Understanding these connections helps us better recognize risk and respond with compassion. This creates communities where survivors feel supported.

Awareness matters. Knowledge matters. Community matters.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, help is available 24/7 through the National Domestic Violence Hotline:

Tennessee, wear purple this Thursday, Oct. 15, to show your support for survivors of domestic violence. Every shade of purple sends a message: survivors are not alone.
