🏡 Housing Can’t Wait in Tennessee.
Eastern Eight CDC is proud to join Fahe and our fellow Appalachian communities in the Housing Can’t Wait campaign by raising awareness, inspiring action, and making housing a priority. Here in Northeast Tennessee, we see firsthand the difference that safe, stable, and affordable housing makes for families and communities. By working together across Appalachia, we can build momentum for greater investment and lasting change.
Because a safe place to call home shouldn’t have to wait. 💙💛

🎉 BIG NEWS for Eastern Eight! 🏡💗

Today, we were honored to celebrate a $276,210 Tennessee Housing Trust Fund award from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA)! 🎉

This funding will support the rehabilitation and preservation of the Comcare properties in Greene County, helping us continue to provide safe, quality, affordable housing for individuals with developmental disabilities.

The project will provide much-needed improvements that will benefit 36 individuals, including:
🏠 Roof replacements
❄️ HVAC repairs
✨ Flooring upgrades
🅿️ Parking area resurfacing
♿ Improvements to safety and accessibility

Most importantly, this investment helps ensure that 36 individuals can continue to have a safe, affordable place to call home for years to come. ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to THDA for investing in Eastern Eight and in the preservation of affordable housing in our communities!

$276,210 invested. 36 individuals impacted. A lasting investment in our community. 🏡💙
