Sew Crazy

Sew Crazy We are a diverse group of sewists who meet monthly to learn, sew and share their talents with each other and the community through charity sewing projects.

Sew Crazy is a group of sewists who meet monthly to work on projects to benefit the community, be it cancer caps, stuffed animals for children's programs, or cat hammocks for animal shelters. Now beginning their sixth year, the group is supported by both monetary donations as well as donations of materials that come from many sources such as retiring sewers, estates and also by a local shop, Berni

na In Stitches. The group is open to sewists of any experience level and anyone who would like to learn more is welcome to attend a meeting. To get more information, visit their website, www.sew-crazy.org or email us at [email protected]

Sew Crazy is on the move ! πŸ˜„ Not very far- just across the parking lot.
Due to issues in our current storage room ( in the basement of the church ) , we will be vacating that space and moving into an upstairs room in the church's office building . Scott has removed and tossed away the old blinds ( to be replaced ) and will be cleaning the room this week. Plans are not currently set for the "big move " but just as soon as a date can be secured, we will let everyone know.
***For this reason, there will be NO MEETING in April . We appreciate your patience & understanding as this move hits us at a very busy time ****

Note : Please keep an eye on your email about the possibility of returning the finished dog quilts for turn in .

Our March meeting brought in 22 very colorful and creative Easter baskets . These baskets were donated to our host location, Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church for their youth group. Thanks to all the members who worked on this project.
For the next project - we turn our attention to the homeless dogs at the Unicoi Animal shelter in Erwin. We are making easy strip quilts to be donated in the Spring. This shelter was destroyed during Hurricane Helene and has recently reopened its doors. Our goal is 20+ quilts . If you are interested in helping out, please notify group President Deborah .
