Shine the light on elder abuse and ageism! Join in the Broome County Office for Aging's World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Expo at the Chenango Bridge Senior Center on Monday, 6/15, 10:00AM - 2:00PM. Everyone is welcome and Ryan Wilson will be performing!

The Twin Tiers Honor Flight, Inc. will be at the Johnson City Senior Center on Thursday, June 11, from 10:30 – 11:30AM. Join us to learn more about their mission of transporting veterans to Washington DC to visit their memorials. Veterans and potential guardians (those assisting veterans) welcome!

Today, several of us from the Center had the privilege of celebrating Marie’s 100th birthday with her! At 99 years young, Marie was still coming to our Center and volunteering for Bingo on Mondays and the lunch table on Tuesdays. She was one of nine centenarians recently honored at Willow Point Rehabilitation & Nursing Center and attributed having friends and enjoying every day as things that make life meaningful (the link to the WBNG story is in the comments).

THANK YOU to the great volunteers at our Senior Center today for United Way of Broome County's Day of Action.

The energetic crew from LeChase Construction Binghamton weeded and mulched across the front of the Center & the three landscape beds along Brocton Street – what a difference they made! There was LOTS of mulch thanks to a generous donation from The Home Depot Johnson City.

THANK YOU to LeChase Construction for their support, as well as United Way of Broome County and their Day of Action sponsors for bringing us all together and making this possible. We’re so grateful for ALL of you!
