I traveled for 4 weeks and then became sick. I still have pneumonia and working to heal. I need to say thank you to my dearest friend Starla Garland. She was the long-time manager of the Elizabethton Walmart. Since God dropped her in my life and heart, I have been so blessed.
Starla kindly prepared the 150 Easter Baskets for the Boys and Girls Club children of Johnson City/Washington County. Starla did all of the work without complaining.
Look Up Child 2 Hope received enough funds to sponsor these children. I hate that I could not help, however I even louder thank God for my friends that carry on when I can’t.

I have a young man that lost his home and mother in a house fire. He is now in a modest apartment and needs a chest of drawers for his clothes.

Get help with home heating: Applications for LIHEAP opened recently. Through the program, households can apply for a cash grant to help pay their heating bills—ranging from $200 to $1,000, depending on household size, income, and fuel type.

We are in the Christmas season. This year has gone so fast. Our community neighbors have been working so hard to restart their lives.
Our community is full of families struggling to stay in their homes and the number of calls is completely overwhelming. Yesterday I received 12 calls in two hours for help with rent.
When people are in affordable housing to be evicted means that they cannot government assisted housing for 7 years. Rent is so high that renting without help becomes impossible. We have homeless families and those that we could prevent them from becoming homeless only if we had the funds.
I have a single mother with four children in need of $1,000.00 to bring her rent current. She is in government housing and got behind due to being ill.
This is only one of 18 families that I am working with that needs rent assistance.
Please pray for them. I remember what it feels like to fear being evicted and I was nine times in ten years. It is a nightmare like none other.
Please pray for our families and pray for Look Up Child 2 Hope!! Our finances are depleted and we desperately need to be able to stop evictions and to place people in housing. May God bless and keep you.

I come to you tonight to ask for your prayers. This year has been so very hard due to helping families with children to stay together. The housing situation is in a critical stage.

We are seeing so many more homeless families with children and seniors that no longer stay in their homes. The cold weather is here and they can no longer be in their cars.
It is so hard to say that Look Up Child cannot help.

The agencies with grants are on hold and it is so hard to find anyone paying rent.

Please pray for God’s provision. I sent out a letter and have gotten only 1,800.00. I am so very grateful to those that have helped.

I only know to pray, ask, believe, and wait on the Lord. Please pray with me for an answer.
