It was a paw-some day in Johns Creek!
On May 21st, we celebrated the dedication of our newest JCB ArtSpot sculptures — JC Paws | Fire Station #63 — at the brand-new station on Brumbelow Road.
Mayor John Bradberry, Johns Creek City Council Members, firefighters, police officers, and other city officials and sponsors joined our board and committee members to celebrate these adorable dog sculptures by artist Jim Collins.
The newest dogs are Jake the Dalmatian, donated by Michèle Morel, Finn the Vizsla, from the Bellmere Garden Club and Dano-Nico, the German Shepherd donated by Zach Hahn in memory of his grandfather, along with the Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation. This special trio honors the courage and service of our local fire and police departments and the steadfast protection they provide to our community. Thank you to our generous sponsors for making this possible.
And an extra thank you to the Bellmere Garden Club for hosting a wonderful celebration luncheon in honor of this special occasion. Your generosity and community spirit mean the world to us!
If you haven’t seen them yet, please also visit our first set of dog sculptures, on the walking path at Newtown Park.
