It was a paw-some day in Johns Creek!

On May 21st, we celebrated the dedication of our newest JCB ArtSpot sculptures — JC Paws | Fire Station #63 — at the brand-new station on Brumbelow Road.

Mayor John Bradberry, Johns Creek City Council Members, firefighters, police officers, and other city officials and sponsors joined our board and committee members to celebrate these adorable dog sculptures by artist Jim Collins.

The newest dogs are Jake the Dalmatian, donated by Michèle Morel, Finn the Vizsla, from the Bellmere Garden Club and Dano-Nico, the German Shepherd donated by Zach Hahn in memory of his grandfather, along with the Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation. This special trio honors the courage and service of our local fire and police departments and the steadfast protection they provide to our community. Thank you to our generous sponsors for making this possible.

And an extra thank you to the Bellmere Garden Club for hosting a wonderful celebration luncheon in honor of this special occasion. Your generosity and community spirit mean the world to us!

If you haven’t seen them yet, please also visit our first set of dog sculptures, on the walking path at Newtown Park.

What a beautiful and unforgettable day for our Johns Creek community! 🌸

The 2026 Secret Gardens Tour was truly a success, and we are incredibly thankful to everyone who helped make this event so special — our homeowners, sponsors, volunteers, musicians, artists, garden managers, and every single guest who attended.

What made this tour especially meaningful to us was not only the beauty of the gardens, but seeing how it truly brought our community together. Throughout the day, I saw so many happy faces — people reconnecting with old friends, making new friendships, sharing conversations, enjoying the music and artists, and simply spending time together in such a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Each garden had its own unique charm, and it was wonderful hearing guests say that every garden was someone’s favorite. That is what Johns Creek Beautification is all about — bringing people together while celebrating beauty, art, nature, and community.

Thank you for supporting Johns Creek Beautification and helping us continue our mission to enhance our community through beautification and public art.

Thank you also to Appen Media for featuring the tour:

Daffodils4Hope founder Marilyn Davis had a fun day with our youngest planters, 4 and 5 year old students at Johns Creek Presbyterian Church Preschool. Plan B was put into place on Monday 10/27 as Hurricane Melissa ramped up outside and drenched the planting site. Each student planted a daffodil bulb in a clear plastic cup so they can watch the roots and stems grow on the classroom windowsill. The kids were happy to play in the dirt, even inside the building. 🌼
