One phone call. One courageous decision. One life full of purpose.

Katie Zacharia’s story is a powerful reminder that one conversation can change everything.

According to accounts of her adoption story, Katie’s biological mother was just 19 years old and considering abortion when a Christian counselor reached out and encouraged her to consider adoption.

Today, Katie is making headlines following her selection as White House Press Secretary.

At A Beacon of Hope, we see the power of hope every day. When women facing unexpected pregnancies are met with compassion, encouragement, and practical support, they can begin to see possibilities they may not have imagined.

Every woman deserves support. Every life has purpose. And sometimes, all it takes is someone reminding you that you’re not alone.

Big news!
We’ve received a grant from Norfolk Southern’s Thriving Communities Grant Program!

This funding will help A Beacon of Hope’s Thriving Mothers, Thriving Families initiative provide direct program services for mothers and families facing economic hardship, housing instability, limited support, and other barriers to stability.

We’re grateful to for recognizing our work and supporting communities like ours across the
country.

Does anyone have any Fisher-Price Little People figurines that your family has outgrown and you’d be willing to donate? We’d love to give them a new home in our Bridge Kids rooms for the little ones we serve.

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone and say "thank you" to someone who has faithfully served A Beacon of Hope for more than 20 years.

Over the past two decades, Susan has volunteered in countless ways, always stepping in wherever she was needed with a servant's heart and a smile. Most recently, she has been the welcoming face at our front desk and the caring voice answering patient calls each week.

"Susan epitomizes the heart and soul of our mission! Through her faithful service for all of these years, Susan has been so instrumental in getting patients in our doors and making them feel welcomed! Only in heaven will Susan know the full impact of her dedication, prayers and loving service!"-Suzy

Although today was Susan's last day serving as a weekly volunteer, she will continue to be an important part of our Beacon family, and we are so thankful for her faithful service and the countless lives she has impacted over the past two decades.
