Learn the basics of sewing in this beginner-friendly class designed to build confidence and foundational skills. Students will be introduced to essential techniques including machine setup, stitching, seam construction, and fabric handling.

Attendees can choose to bring their personal project they need help with, or pick between two practical projects: a simple apron, or a pot holder to create a finished piece you can use every day. This class is perfect for those new to sewing or anyone looking for a refresher in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Escape to paradise - no plane ticket required! Join us for “Tropical Vibes,” a relaxing afternoon paint session with an ocean view framed by white shutter. We’ll paint swaying palm trees, sandy beaches, and a vibrant hibiscus focal point. This tropical “staycation” painting is perfect for anyone craving sunshine, color, and a creative getaway.
We’ll paint with canvas on a 16x20 presketched canvas and explore techniques for creating dimension with shading and highlights to bring your tropical scene to life. Beginner friendly!

Please join us in welcoming Rhynna to the Painted Sky Center for the Arts team as our new Youth Program Assistant! She will be working with Kathlyne to make this summer unforgettable for our Grant County youth!💛

Rhynna is a motivated and dependable with a passion for leadership, learning, and helping others. She brings experience caring for children and animals, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude that will make her a wonderful addition to our youth programs.

When she's not busy with school, Rhynna is active in Scouts of America and 4-H, where she participates in livestock, archery, and photography. She also serves as her class's Secretary/Treasurer, demonstrating her commitment to leadership and community involvement.

We're excited to have Rhynna helping create a safe, welcoming, and creative environment for the youth and families we serve.

Get ready to dig, plant, create, and explore! Our Youth Garden Club combines art, nature, and hands-on learning in a fun and welcoming environment.

Participants will help care for the garden, learn about plants and pollinators, create garden-inspired art projects, and discover how creativity and nature work together. From painting planters and making garden markers to watching our own pigments grow, there's always something exciting happening in the garden.

Join our Writing Group at Painted Sky Center for the Arts!

Writers of all experience levels and genres are welcome. Whether you enjoy fiction, nonfiction, poetry, memoir, fantasy, mystery, or something entirely your own, you'll find encouragement, inspiration, and fellow creatives who understand the joys and challenges of putting words on a page.

Summer Youth Programs are officially beginning, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome young artists, makers, explorers, and creators into the studio.
