Had an awesome ride today. For Memorial Day weekend we had no traffic except in the town of Spray. Went from John Day to Mitchell, up to Service Creek with a stop at the Bikers Memorial then back through Monument and Long Creek then home, just over 200 miles. Beautiful countrysides and perfect weather all day. Thank you to Bill Phylo and Steve Pereira for riding with us today. So far this year we have raised $500. Good start for next year's scholarships!

Next Saturday the 23rd we will be riding from John Day, kickstands up at 10 am, to Prineville for lunch then either we can ride out to Fossil and back home or we can ride out through Paulina and back home. Let the group decide which way we will come home. I like letting the group decide which loop. 😊 There will be raffle prizes as well as the 50/50 drawing. Look forward to seeing all that can come!

We have our scholarship winners selected and will be posting them soon! Awesome bunch of applicants this year! 8 in all, wish we could give them all scholarships.

We are setting our rides for the 4th Saturday of every month. This month will be the 23rd. Deciding if we go to Prineville and eat at Sons of Beer and back through Izee or Burns and back through Vale, but will be same leave time and place, 10:00 am leave from Bare Bones Bar parking lot.

We've also had an awesome reply on applications this year. 7 received. Winners will be announced soon!

Had a great ride today with an awesome little group to kick off our BFE rides! Thank you to our frosty butt riders Bill, Tinkerbell, Steve, myself and Dale. We travelled through Dayville, Spray for lunch and back through Long Creek, about 160 mile loop and raised $180 for scholarships. Had a blast and thank you!

We are looking to gear up for the year! Working on a ride to go from Bare Bones Bar parking lot in John Day and circle either to Mitchell and back through Long Creek or Long creek to Mitchell. Still working out the lunch stop details, but any ideas would be welcome. Looking to ride April 25 weather permitting of course! Will have more details as we get them worked out. Hope to see all who can make it!

We are gearing up to do the drawing for this bike come December 20. We have 90 tickets left to see who is going to win this beautiful bike and make someone's Christmas. Get hold of me through messenger if you are wanting to buy a ticket or two, or stop by my office at 677 West Main St in John Day Monday -Friday from 10am to 5pm. All ticket sale proceeds go for trade school scholarships. Drawing will be held at Bare Bones Bar. Will post time for the drawing when we get closer.

Well we didn't have a very big turn out for the potluck/auction today, but we had some great auction items. We raised enough to get close to 6 scholarships today. Thank you to all who showed up, you are all so awesome. Got some more tickets for the bike sold as well, drawing still happening Dec 20.

With the change in the weather, we will be holding our end of the year potluck/auction for the BFE Trade School Scholarships at Bare Bones Bowling Alley tomorrow October 25, 2025 from noon to 3pm. Dale and I will be bringing smoked pork loin, zucchini bread, chips and dip, water and some sodas. Any sides, salads or other dishes would be very welcome. There are lots of items to bid on and a raffle for the hand stitched route 66 picture. If you have any items you would like to put up for auction, bring them with you. All are welcome, the more the merrier and hope to see you all there!
