Hello to all, our Military Support Group Easter packing was very successful!! We want to say thank you to all whom helped. Each item and every person are important to make these packings possible.

We packed for 26 soldiers and had a great turnout. Hopefully, the soldiers will receive their boxes before Easter. Below is the list of volunteers we want to thank for showing up. Together we are able to make these packings happen for our military members!

The Harrison County Military Support Group will be meeting on March 3rd, at 4PM for the Easter packing. We really appreciate all of our community, volunteers, donations, helpers, the Senior Center and the Harrison News Herald. Without you all we could not keep doing this project. Our soldiers are grateful and we are very grateful for them and the sacrifices they make. Here's a list of items that we could send them:

Pop tarts, chapstick, toothbrushes, toothpaste, puzzle books, mechanical pencils, sunflower seeds, instant coffee packets, hot chocolate mx, cider mix, drink mixes, mints, candy bars, hard candy, sunflower seeds, peanut butter, protien bars, gum, nuts, rice krispie treats, homemade cookies, dried fruit, pop tarts, protein bars. And anything else you think they might like.

Thank you all again. We look forward to seeing you all and working together. Take care of each other and remember, together we can accomplish a lot.

The Harrison County Military Support Group would like to thank anyone that helped us out in any way. Whether you came in person or sent things for us or allowed us to use your building. Anyway at all, it is appreciated and we are very thankful to all of you. If we've missed anyone or misspelled your name, I apologize. It's hard to keep names straight when we're very busy.

Wow, fall is here! Summer was a hot one and we finally got some moisture for our land. We need to update you for our packing. We will meet on October 14th at 2 PM at the Cadiz Senior Center. We are meeting earlier this time and want to let you all know ahead of time. Below will be a list of items we could include in the boxes. As usual, anyone wishing to help us is more than welcome to come and help. We'll be planning on starting by 2:00 so come earlier if you want. Hope to see you there!!

We can always use monetary donations to help with shipping. Each box is approximately $25 to send.

Our next packing will be June 10th. 6:00PM at the Senior Cente in Cadiz. Anyone wishing to drop off items or volunteer please feel welcome. If you could drop off items by 5:30 so that we may get them put out in the boxes, we would appreciate that. Anyone wanting to volunteer feel free to show up anytime between 5:30 and 6PM.
We're adding a list of items that we could add to the boxes. If you think of something not on the list, feel free to add it to the items you're bringing. The more the merrier!!

Homemade cookies, white socks, pop tarts, dried fruit, protein bars, granola bars, sunflower seeds, any kind of nuts, lifesavers/hard candies, gum, puzzle books, chap stick, snack bars, canned tuna, canned sausages.
Anything individual that you can think of as a good snack item would work. Right now we're packing for 30 soldiers. That may vary but it's a good number to start with. And as usual, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This does make a difference for our soldiers. Thank you all!

The Harrison County Military Support Group would like to thank our community members for helping with our packing on April 1st. We packed for 30 soldiers. We are still amazed at the turnout when we are packing. Our soldiers deserve respect and thanks from us all. We know they appreciate the boxes from the text messages we receive. They are very thankful for their surprise packages.

We thank all of our volunteers and anyone donating for this project. Without your assistance we could not continue to do this. After 20 years it amazes us that we're still going strong. Hello to all! Hope everyone is enjoying our Spring preview. It's hard to believe we're getting ready for the Easter packing for the troops. Our packing will be on April 1st at the Senior Center on Main Street in Cadiz. As usual, we ask anyone dropping off items or volunteers to show up around 5:30 so we can be ready by 6PM.
We are counting on 30 soldiers at this time. Some items that we could use are: homemade cookies, dried fruit, pop tarts, white socks, sunflower seeds, chap sticks, pencils, pens, puzzle books, protein bars, gum, lifesavers, Easter Candy, nuts, granola bars, toothbrushes, toothpaste. Anyone wishing to make a monetary donation, our address is: HCMSG - 86990 Amsterdam Road, Jewett, OH 43986.
As always, we thank you all for supporting us on this mission. We've all had military members and know how important these boxes are. Enjoy our Springtime, good or not so good weather. Looking forward to our packing and wishing you all health and happiness.
