Wynne Friends of Animals - Connecticut

Wynne Friends of Animals - Connecticut WFOA CT is a non-profit organization focused on the rescue, care, and adoption of stray, abandoned, homeless animals.

WFOA CT is a Connecticut based non-profit organization helping to place shelter dogs from our parent organization, Wynne Friends of Animals. WFOA owns and operates The Wynne Animal Rescue Shelter in Wynne, Arkansas. Due to the state of AR not having a mandatory spay/neuter law, the area is overwhelmed with stray, abandoned or otherwise "unwanted" dogs. Their shelter is a true,no kill, rehabilitati

ve sanctuary located in the northeast corner of Arkansas, just across the Mississippi River, (approximately 45 minutes), west of Memphis, Tennessee. They are a totally private shelter / sanctuary, and not owned or operated, by any city, county, or state agency. WFOA is funded by adoption fees, charitable contributions, fundraisers, grants, much appreciated charitable monies received from the City of Wynne, as well as funds generated by their on site veterinary clinic, built and opened in 2011, to care for our animals as well as being open to the general public. The shelter keeps an average of 125-150 dogs in house at all times. They are "ALWAYS" full and "ALWAYS" have a waiting list of dogs for intake. WFOA has been in operation since March 2007 and have placed dogs in 47 states as well as Canada and Germany. WFOA has been voted
The Best Shelter In Arkansas every year since thier inception in 2007 and have maintained a top ranking position of the top 100 shelters in the nation. We house train, leash train, car train, and behavior train our dogs, and all training is "POSITIVE", and fun for the dog. Each and every one of our dogs is fully evaluated both socially and psychologically,
with humans, (both adults and children), cats, and other dogs. This allows us to custom fit each dog to his adopter. Our goal "IS NOT" to find the best dog for our adopter, but rather, to find the best adopter for our dog. We do this by fitting each and every dog to his adopter by temperament, energy level, social skills, and maintenance requirements. Every dog adopted from our shelter is guaranteed healthy, fully vaccinated
(all shots up to date), is spay/neutered, and micro-chipped. It is hoped that our adopters will incur no veterinary expenses for at least a year after adoption. Should you decide to adopt from us, please do not be offended by some of our questions. All questions are for two purposes, the first being, to assure that our dog is going to a home in which he or she will be happy and thrive, and the second, to assure that you as an adopter, are getting a dog that will be suitable to your family and lifestyle. Also, please rest assured that any negatives or possible problems with the adoption will be fully disclosed, discussed, and covered in detail prior to our adoption approval. Adopting from WFOA CT will help save the lives of TWO dogs. The one you are adopting as well as the one who has been waiting for a spot in the shelter. We offer transport service to CT and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Our drop off locations are Griswold, CT and Glastonbury, CT. Please help us fulfill our mission of "providing second chances for man's best friend".
