WAYNE COUNTY FFA KICKED OFF THE YEAR IN A BIG WAY!

Our August FFA Meeting was a HUGE success! We had a great crowd of members who came ready to eat, compete, learn, and get involved!

🍗 25 POUNDS OF CHICKEN TENDERS
🍟 15 POUNDS OF FRENCH FRIES
…not one member left hungry!

Members received important updates on our upcoming CDEs, LDEs, trips, and the Mum & Chicken Plate Fundraisers, making sure everyone knows what’s coming up this Fall.

Then it was time to PUT THEIR SKILLS TO THE TEST! Students rotated through four of our practicum areas to see who could come out on top in each one: (winners announced tomorrow)

🔧 Ag Mechanics
🐄 Veterinary Science
🦌 Wildlife
🌱 Horticulture

These rotations gave our members a chance to experience different areas of agriculture while showing off their knowledge and skills. We may have even discovered a few future champions along the way! 👀🏆

A HUGE thank you to all of our members who came out and made our first meeting of the year such a success! We’re just getting started, and Wayne County FFA is ready to TAKE FLIGHT and LIVE 110%! ✈️💙💛🏎️💨

WCHS FFA would like to thank Ms. Hawk, Quail Forever, and the Gopher Tortoise Council for selecting our agriculture classes for the Burrows & Bobwhites Program!

Students enjoyed a hands-on day learning about native plants, upland wildlife habitats, and conservation while building and planting a native raised bed on campus. We appreciate the opportunity to bring conservation education to our students and the Wayne County community!
