Chester is estimated to be around 60 in human years which means he was only SEVEN YEARS OLD when the Knicks won their last championship! He feels like his life is almost complete now except NO ONE WANTS TO ADOPT HIM. Someone, please, give this man a happy ending, he’s made this incredibly corny video in his desperation. You can give him a middle name of Jalen or Mitchell. Commemorate this historic moment with the coolest new family member ever. Friendly, relaxed, cat friendly. Coooomeeee oooon. Fill out app in bio, or shoot us a dm and we will send link!

No one has a spare room to foster a mama and her kitten (pictured) starting next week? If not, we can’t help. Sorry to be harsh, but it’s that simple, and it sucks so much. We pay for all supplies and manage vet care: you just need to provide the space you already have available.

Link in bio for app. Foster/adoption the same, leave things blank if not relevant.

P.S. Knicks in 5 if you foster. This tuxedo has magical capabilities.

We are still short fosters, and not sure what to do. Need fosters for:
-Charlie (pictured), in danger, actively trying to trap
-Mama and kitten
-Dylan

All of them are outside and in bad situations. We just need a safe space for them to get out of danger and receive the medical help they need. A spare room is more than sufficient. You do not need to be experienced, or some type of cat whisperer to be a hero and save these cats lives.

When you foster with Pad Paws, we pay for all expenses and manage all veterinary needs until, of course, the kitty finds its permanent home. If you are interested, please go to link in bio and fill out an app.

✨WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY✨ What does cat rescue have to do with the environment? If you’re thinking about adopting a cat instead of supporting demand-driven breeders then you’re already on the right path to a more sustainable future! 🌏

Cats can join in too… Here’s MAISY demonstrating her green paws by upcycling this box into the most amazing toy she’s ever had! 💫

Maisy is a healthy, four year old cat who loves to play and is great with other cats. Ask us more about sweet Maisy!

Immune to rabies. Eats 5,000 ticks. Resistant to snake venom. 70 million years old. And everyone treats it like garbage.

The opossum — the most underrated animal in your neighborhood.

THE FACTS:

→ America's ONLY marsupial (carries babies in a pouch)
→ Virtually immune to rabies (body temp too low for the virus)
→ Eats up to 5,000 ticks per season
→ Resistant to pit viper venom (copperhead, rattlesnake)
→ Eats cockroaches, rats, snails, slugs, carrion
→ "Playing possum" = involuntary stress response, not acting

WHAT THEY DO FOR YOU:

→ Tick control (Lyme disease prevention)
→ Venomous snake control
→ Carrion cleanup (disease prevention)
→ Pest insect control
→ All free. All night. Every night.

THE PROBLEM:

→ Hit by cars constantly (slow, nocturnal)
→ Killed by dogs and people out of fear
→ Babies orphaned when mothers are killed on roads
→ Often confused with rats (they are NOT rodents)

IF YOU SEE ONE:

→ Leave it alone — it's helping you
→ If injured: wildlife rehabilitator, not animal control
→ If babies are clinging to a dead mother: call a rehabber immediately
→ Slow down on roads at night

70 million years of evolution. Immune to rabies. Eats your ticks.

Maybe stop screaming when you see one.

✨ CHARLIE ✨Find the cat!! This project has us losing sleep but we won’t give up. Charlie is living in a dangerous construction site and adopted the inside of a bulldozer as his home at night. Due to the logistics we are only able to trap at certain times each day which makes things difficult. We’ve tried every trap, every delicious food, and every creative way to disguise the traps.

Bottom line? The developer is building and Charlie needs to leave. We have a few tricks up our sleeve so hoping soon he’ll be safe.

A reminder we have three very difficult projects underway and need foster homes desperately (Jersey City/NYC area). Please send us a pm if interested!!

✨ Ron & Guillermo ✨ We aren’t sure a picture has ever better encapsulated a duo. Senior, retired street kitties living the dream in their long term foster. Na, they won’t be your best friend, but they will provide endless entertainment and silliness, something we could all use right now.

‼️UPDATE ON GOOSE KILLINGS AT LIBERTY HARBOR MARINA ‼️ We are saddened to hear about another alleged killing of an adult father goose.

Witnesses have been looking after two parents with one gosling. When the family ventured into the marina area, the father goose was dead a few minutes later. Workers bagged the goose, discarded in a pile of trash and walked away. Police, DEP, Animal Control and APL all called by witnesses. A second police report was filed for animal cruelty. JCPD and ACC retrieved the body which is currently being examined.

What can you do? Call the prosecutor’s office per the request of Animal Protection League.

This is an active investigation. We are sharing only the info sent to us for awareness. The goal is to hold individuals accountable for cruelty and educate on humane ways to live alongside wildlife.

✨ Chester ✨ The foster said the following re the questionable quality of Chester photos: “He’s too busy head butting to pose” 😹😹 10-ish, friendly, loves everyone and everything. Fill out an adoption app today, link in bio.

So, we have a bit of a problem. No one is stepping up to adopt. We have a super friendly like Chester with no interest. His foster can’t keep him much longer. What are we supposed to do? Please network this sweet, retired street cat.
