The Coles and 12th Street project underscores Jersey City's commitment to sustainable urban development and inclusive growth, incorporating the city’s broader goals with Vision Zero elements, resiliency and sustainability goals, pedestrian safety, and expanding outdoor public space.

The upgrades aim to fix the poorly lit area and fragmented sidewalk and create a canvas for more programmed public space—all within a single streetscape initiative.

Prince Jerry Day will be this Saturday 10/14 at the Jersey City Armory. A double dutch competition will be held in honor of Jerry Grant. Jerry was tragically killed while walking in a crash at Grove and Columbus in 2017.

Please join us this Monday 6pm at Five Corners Library for a candidates forum conversation on facing the twin challenges of end preventable crash deaths and mitigating climate change.

We need safe county and state roads because it is equitable and right and will save lives, but also will provide space for the 50% of trips under 3 miles that could be walked or biked but often is not safe to do so. And we must work together to end the toxic $10.7 billion widening of the Turnpike Extension and invest in Hudson County and NJ's many mass transit needs instead.
