🚨PLEASE SHARE🚨 10 year old Divine was last seen leaving Newport Mall with an unknown man. She was wearing a white tank top, tie dye shorts, a neon orange headband, and black and white sneakers. Anyone with information is asked to call Jersey City Police at 201-547-5424 or the NJSP’s Missing Person’s unit at 609-882-2000 ext. 2554. Praying for her safe return to her family.

The is hosting their annual backpack giveaway for kids around Jersey City to support local students and families to ensure every student has what they need to thrive in the upcoming school year. 🎒 ✨

The backpack giveaway will take place on August 23rd from 2pm-5pm at the following JCFPL branches:

Priscilla Gardner Main Library
Five Corners Branch
Heights Branch
Cunningham Branch
Miller Branch
Morgan Branch
Communipaw Branch

They also have a limited number of totes for teachers. 🍎

Students and teachers MUST REGISTER using their library card to receive a backpack or tote. You will only receive ONE backpack or tote per library card. 📚✨

Council President Joyce Watterman has officially entered the 2025 Jersey City Mayoral Race, which she announced yesterday at the Juneteenth celebration at Liberty State Park. She also revealed four running mates: Alexander Hamilton, former school board trustee, David Carment, a pastor and community leader in Greenville, Kenny Reyes, former school board candidate with “Change for Children,” as well as Lewis Spears, Kismet of Kings founder and 2021 JC Mayoral candidate. With Watterman officially in the race, the number of announced candidates is up to 4, with Hudson County Commissioner Bill O’Dea, former NJ Governor Jim McGreevey, and former Board of Ed President Mussab Ali having already launched their campaigns. Other notable figures are rumored to be joining the race in upcoming months. With the election still more than a year away, who would you consider supporting in the November ‘25 race?
