To provide young men in Jersey City the opportunity to capture and develop the principle of true masculinity through practical experiences and to impress upon them the importance of academic success, positive self image, unwavering character and citizenship, sportsmanship and a healthy lifestyle.

Our young men deserve to be known for their potential before they’re ever seen as a problem.

At Kismet of Kings, Chef Hamilton and Chef Garcia brought a vision for building relationships along with their culinary expertise. They invited Jersey City Police Department into our space, bringing our Kings, chefs, and officers together to cook, learn, and connect.

Relationships need opportunities like these to grow. Sharing everyday experiences gives young people and officers a chance to know one another beyond enforcement and begin building trust.

Thank you to Houz of Goute for making this connection possible and to JCPD for showing up. A community’s commitment to its young people must include what we’re willing to build with them.

Our Kings had an opportunity to experience Rutgers University and take in a game with their peers. Experiences like this are about more than being in the stands - they’re about exposure, creating memories, and helping our young men see themselves in spaces they may one day call home.
