We are very grateful and proud to be included with 39 other vital organizations in Jersey City yesterday at the celebration of Newport's 40th Anniversary. Thank you to the Simon and Lefrak families for their $2,000,000 donation to so many facets of the Jersey City community and their promise to invest another $5,000,000 over the next 5 years.

Our teens know how important civic engagement and action is. So one of the actions they take every year is to be out on National Voter Registration Day making sure that they let people know the importance of voting. Yesterday they were out at the Grove Street Path Station happily volunteering their time to register new voters in Jersey City.

Thank you to Jets' player Joseph Ossai for spending Back-2-School season with us at our Jersey City Clubhouse! Our members, parents and community friends spent the day gathering school supplies and healthy groceries, and having loads of funs. It's not too late to become a member for the after school program!

Today is National Ampersand Day—a day to celebrate one little symbol that says a lot: & 💙

In 1990, we became Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Since then, that & has come to represent so much of what makes our organization special:

Boys & Girls.
Kids & mentors.
Dreams & opportunities.
Clubs & communities.
Because sometimes, what’s on the other side of an & is what makes all the difference.

Happy National Ampersand Day! 💙
