JC Parks Co. City of Trees *Greening Jersey City Today for Tomorrow.*
City of Trees is a Parks Coalition initiative to plant 5,000 trees by 2020.

But Parks Co and the City can't do it without your help! Tell us how where you want to see trees and why you think trees are important. Tree maintenance is a problem in every city across the nation. Accountability of "who takes care of this tree now?" is such an important and widely debated issue. In Jersey City, the City will plant your trees and take care of them to the best of their abilities,

but it is up to us as residents to get the proper training and education so our streets look as good as we know they can! The City of Trees and Tree Lovers Crew initiatives by the Parks Coalition in conjunction to promote better healthier plantings of street trees from the start along with safe and thoughtful pruning practices to keep the tree as healthy as possible!
