First photo: I Wanna Be Me II — Acrylic on canvas, 30 x 24 in., 2024 🎨

This bold, textured painting by Chunbum Park leads their contribution to That’s Not Right, on view now at Gallery 14C through June 22. The show also features two photographic works by Park, continuing their exploration of identity, beauty, and transformation.

Through a richly abstract visual language, Park challenges racialized beauty standards and reveals a deeply personal vision of self—where gender expression, fantasy, and vulnerability intersect.

See their work during JC Fridays this Friday (June 6) and weekends 1–4 PM until June 22.

🌀 ARTIST HIGHLIGHT: John Di Lorenzo
Now on view in the group show “That’s Not Right” at Gallery 14C

Catch it this JC Friday (June 6) and weekends through June 22!

John Di Lorenzo’s paintings linger in that uncanny space between memory and mystery. Drawing from environments that haunt his own past, his work functions as what he calls a “psychic container” — absorbing emotion, atmosphere, and the unspoken. His studio process is intuitive and layered, more like wandering in the dark than following a plan, and his paintings are best encountered solo, in silence.
Based in New Jersey, John is both a practicing artist and dedicated educator in NYC. He holds a BFA from Purchase College and an MA from Columbia University. His work has been exhibited widely throughout the tri-state area, including 14C Art Fair, Pierro Gallery, and Chashama.

🖼️ Don’t miss his haunting contribution in That’s Not Right — a show that embraces the strange, the uneasy, and the not-so-easily-explained.

Final day for the inaugural Scottsdale Ferrari Art Week!

Featured artist: Sandra Cavanagh

Sandra Cavanagh was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and now lives and paints in New York City.

Gallery 14C has shown her epic, narrative paintings in the past, but this is the first time that we’ve exhibited the wonderful series of birds she paints in Litchfield Connecticut. In their own way they are as fierce as her allegorical paintings, and the colors of the feathers and sky need to be seen in person to be truly appreciated.

Phoenix area art lovers can see these birds at Scottsdale Ferrari Art Week (see below for ticket info) through 5pm PDT today.

Gallery 14C is at the inaugural Scottsdale Ferrari Art Week!

Featured artist: Fabricio Suárez

Fabricio Suárez is a Jersey City based painter, originally from Uruguay, working in an Art150 studio.

Interested in the mystery and of what nature holds, his current studio practice consists of dark and colorful paintings mostly rooted in the landscape, and born of expressionist brushstrokes.

Mainly influenced by Old Masters, he rethinks traditional beauty for spiritual elements of American savagery.

Recently selected for 14C’s upcoming Showcase, Phoenix area art lovers can see selections of Suárez’ work at Scottsdale Ferrari Art Week (see below for ticket info) through the weekend.
