All are encouraged to arrive at Liberty State Park at 5:30 p.m. on September 11 to collect a candle, engage with community members, and “feel the spiritual warmth of the Empty Sky Memorial’s halo of light.”

The New Jersey State Police Honor Guard as well as the Pipes & Drum Band and the Ramsey High School Chorus will all perform.

Attend New Jerseys 9/11 Memorial ceremony at Empty Sky Memorial, Liberty State Park in Jersey City. Candlelight vigil honors victims, responders & survivors.

The people of Jersey City deserve results, not empty promises. Despite the NJDEPs promotion emails and videos pledging regulation size athletic fields at Liberty State Park, what was presented at their recent public meeting fell far short of that. The current plans for LSP include "flexible fields" for informal play, NOT regulation fields that Jersey City's children and families deserve. Please help us keep the pressure on.

The NJDEP announced that “athletic fields and courts are coming to Liberty State Park!”

Unfortunately, that is NOT the case. These so-called “flexible fields” are not regulation-size and not suitable for organized sports or team play. Our community deserves better.
