Congratulations to the KOR USA Eastern Regional Command, led by New Regional Commander Sir Manny Malasig MD, KGOR, Deputy Regional Commander Sir Caesar Barangan, KGOR, Ladies For Rizal NJ President Lady Ditas Malasig, aided by NJ Area Commander Sir Dick Ong, KGCR, NJ Area Deputy Commander Sir Sonny Austria, KGOR, and KORNJ Chapter Commander Sir Matt Reyes, KCR, for their immensely successful LEADERSHIP TURNOVER Ceremony held last Saturday, March 28th, at the Newark DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel!

The Knights of Rizal New Jersey Chapter successfully convened its second General Membership Meeting on February 19, 2026, unveiling the Chapter's new website, KORNJ.org, and Chapter Commander Matt Danny Reyes KCR, along with the Board of Trustees, successfully passed the inaugural resolution for chapter development.

The Knights of Rizal New Jersey Chapter joins the international Filipino community in commemorating the 129th anniversary of Dr. José Rizal's martyrdom, a national hero whose life and works exemplify the principles of patriotism, civic duty, and national identity that continue to motivate Filipinos worldwide. Part of the commemoration included the unveiling of a restored Rizal monument. The ceremony was attended by esteemed guests, including Consul General Senen Mangalile and Jersey City Mayor-elect James Solomon.

Today, Rizal Day, our KORNJ Chapter observed the 129th commemoration of Dr. Jose P. Rizal’s martyrdom, with a new & improved monument at the Rizal Park (Plaza Rizal) in Jersey City, one of only 3 officially-named Rizal spaces in the USA. Distinguished guests and dedicated members remembered the life, legacy and sacrifice of the national hero.
