Are you someone who enjoys problem-solving, thinking on your feet, and helping animals in need? We’re looking for a Cat Intake Coordinator

What we’re looking for:
🐱 Someone who can provide quick response times when urgent situations arise
🐱 A flexible schedule — requests can come in at any time and may occasionally require a vet visit by phone
🐱 Good communication skills and comfort using Facebook Messenger and Gmail
🐱 Someone who is comfortable saying when they’re unable to help, while still being willing to help brainstorm other ideas or solutions
🐱 A compassionate, solution-oriented person who wants to see cats and kittens get the help they need

What makes this role so rewarding?
There’s nothing quite like finding a solution that gets a cat or kitten safe and on the road to a better life.

And you’re never on your own! There is always someone you can reach out to for advice and support

You would be a part of the Cat Coordination Team, meaning your responsibility ends once the animal is stabilized and placed into foster care. It’s a great way to share responsibility!

PAWS is such a fun group to be a part of! It can be hard work at times, but it is incredibly rewarding. If you love cats, enjoy helping solve problems, and want to make a real difference, we’d love to have you join us.

Lucy is a beautiful 4 mo old female kitten, mostly black with a white patch on her chest that is available for adoption through PAWS Rescue, Inc.

Lucy is sweet with an affectionate personality and a curious little spirit! She’s the ultimate movie-night cuddle buddy, always happy to snuggle up beside you — although she might get distracted if something interesting catches her eye! 😹

🐾 MEET KAI! 🐾

Looking for a little best friend to follow you everywhere? Meet Kai! ❤️

Kai is a 3½-year-old, 20-pound Miniature Pincher/Chiweenie mix with a happy, playful personality and lots of love to give. He’s potty trained, crate trained, good with other dogs, and loves being by your side. This affectionate little guy is ready to find a family to call his own!

Kai is still working on a few things. Strangers and things he encounters on walks, like bikes, scooters, some vehicles, and other dogs, can make him nervous and cause him to bark and pull. Cats can also be a big trigger. The good news is that he can be redirected! He can get excited and bouncy indoors, sometimes jumping on furniture, and car rides aren’t his favorite. Uncertain on kids but probably would need to be 12+.

With patience, guidance, and a family willing to help him build confidence, Kai has so much potential to be an amazing companion. 🐶💙

💔 PRINCESS NEEDS A HOSPICE FOSTER HOME 💔

At 12 years old, Princess was surrendered to a local shelter by the family she knew, and in just one month, she has been moved FOUR TIMES. This sweet girl deserves so much better.

We are looking for a patient, loving hospice foster who can give Princess the stability, comfort, and security she desperately needs. Ideally, this would be her final home—a place where she can finally feel safe and loved.

Princess has some challenges and will need someone who understands that settling in may take time, patience, and compassion. She needs a person willing to meet her where she is and give her the time she needs to feel at home.

At her age, she deserves to know what it feels like to finally be home for good. ❤️

Princess is a senior, medium-sized mixed-breed dog who is completely blind and may also have some hearing loss. Despite her challenges, she is an incredibly sweet, gentle, and compliant girl.

Princess sleeps quite a bit, enjoys her meals, and is generally easy to care for. She does have some challenges that her future caregiver will need to understand. She is not currently house-trained and has accidents overnight. A kennel has been the most effective way to keep her safe and settled at night, and she sometimes wears a diaper overnight to help manage accidents. Keeping the diaper on until morning can be a bit of a challenge!

At times, Princess becomes agitated and likes to walk in circles. Her blindness and possible hearing loss mean she needs patience, understanding, and a calm, consistent environment.

Princess may not be the easiest senior to care for, but her sweet nature makes her a special girl who deserves someone willing to give her the love, comfort, and care she needs in her golden years. ❤️

Looking for a little adventure, a lot of love, and a whole lot of kitten fun? Meet Salem, a 4-month-old handsome male all-black sweetheart who is ready to find his forever home through PAWS Rescue inc.

Salem is playful, outgoing, affectionate, and has absolutely NO stranger danger! Everyone is a friend he hasn’t met yet. He loves to play, explore, make new friends, and even enjoys car rides! 🚗 He also does wonderfully with dogs.

Once the zoomies are over, Salem is more than happy to curl up with his people for some serious snuggle time. He wants to be wherever you are and be part of whatever you’re doing. ❤️

📍PADAMAY NEEDS A FOSTER OR ADOPTER📍

Padamay is currently in a foster home and is doing sooo well! Her foster will be traveling starting Oct 30 until after the first of the year. We do not want her to have to go back to boarding. PLEASE HELP!!!

Padamay enjoys playing with other dogs and going for walks with other dogs and has made progress, but she can still be sensitive and easily startled by unexpected noises. This can result in redirection on another dog.

She needs a patient home where she can feel safe, move at her own pace, and never be pushed beyond her comfort zone. She would do best in a dog-only home with someone who understands her sensitivities and can help her continue to build confidence.

Sunny and his brother Cody have been in rescue since puppies. They are big boys and have become too much together for their foster family. We are looking for a foster home to help out until Sunny is adopted. Or if interested in foster to adopt the details are below.

Sunny is a 8 mo old, 60-70 lb, Border Collie/American Staffordshire Terrier/Great Pyrenees/Mastiff (according to his DNA) that is ready for his foster-to-adopt home through PAWS Rescue inc.

(Foster-to-adopt means you fill out the foster form with the intent of adopting him, pay his adoption fee and when his vetting is complete you fill out the adoption form). *Must be between Idaho Falls and the Boise area to use one of our vet clinics.*

If you’re looking for a calm, easygoing companion, Sunny may be your perfect match. This sweet boy has a mellow personality and brings such a peaceful, grounding energy wherever he goes. He’s the kind of dog who is happy to simply be near his people, soaking up affection and enjoying life at a gentle pace.

Sunny also has a playful side and absolutely loves the water! Whether it’s splashing around on a warm day or joining you for outdoor adventures, he’s always ready to enjoy the fun.

He has been around other dogs and cats, giving him great exposure to other animals. Sunny is continuing to learn about the world and would thrive in a loving home that appreciates his gentle spirit and sweet nature.
