We had some travel and illness but I will be having all coaches contact your athletes by this weekend whether they made the team or not thank you for your patience in this matter. UPDATE 2/4/25 NEW TIMES AND LOCATION

The first ever J-town Bombers Softball Tryouts are happening in 2025!!!!

The date is Feb 8th at the Jerome Recreation District Small Gym registration begins at 3 p.m. If your division is later please show up 15 min before your start to make sure you are registered.

10U 3:30 - 4:15 p.m.

12U 4:15 - 5:30 p.m.

16/14U 5:30 - 6:50 p.m.

Keep in mind I am new to Softball but the staff running the teams are not. We are just trying to make sure our J-town Girls and kiddos north of the Canyon have an affordable option that will allow them to develop and keep competing.

After reviewing our evaluations forms and trying take all things into considerations our 10U and 12U
Coaches will be reaching out Mon and Tuesday to confirm the rosters. To all the athletes that came out and do not get selected do not be discouraged or saddened. Take this as an opportunity to hone your skills and ask Coaches when they contact you where you can grow and continue to get better. We had some of the most talented athletes show up for evaluations and we hope to be able to off more teams in the future. At this time our teams will be kept to 12 to ensure all those that participate get the best expierence and are able to receive enough reps to continue growing not only as athletes but as tremendous members of the schools they attend and the community.

14U we are still in holding pattern as we await news of local legion teams i hope to have that information out sooner than later. Parents the coaches will still be contacting you to plan a parent meeting for this age group and address how we will be moving forward. Thank you for all your patience in this matter.

Good news Bombers fans and Jerome High School aged Baseball players, and parents, after speaking with our high school Coach as to what was happening with baseball this summer. He informed me that they would be returning to legion baseball this year. So as unfortunate as it might be we cannot offer an 18U and 16U team this Summer as that would directly compete with American Legion baseball. Feeding our local programs with skilled players and getting our High school teams to be competitive, has always been and will continue to be our main focus. With that being said further questions can be answered by the head baseball coach for JHS and I am sure he will have details out as soon as he gets them. Thanks to everyone who reached out about possibly forming a team it means a lot that people wish for their athletes to remain in our program!!!

The J-Town Bombers travel baseball program is going to host open evaluations on Jan 18th Location TBA. Once we have location determined this will be updated.
We have 5 tournaments on the schedule for this summer. We will encourage all of our athletes to participate in the league that will be offered in Jerome this spring. The league has an all new board and is hoping to grow the league and continue to push Youth Athletics for Jerome and surrounding areas in the right direction. Stay Tuned for our Softball tryouts around the first part of February we are needing Coaches and Families that are interested in this opportunity to reach out and help us get this going. These athletes will also be encouraged to participate in the local Jerome League during the spring season. Please Message if you have any questions or concerns. The dates of all summer events will be present at the sign up table please be at least 15 min early to get all info and have your athletes paperwork complete. The athletes will be participating in a camp style evaluation.
Registration table will be up by 9:30 a.m.
10U 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
12U 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
14U 1:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

After trying to find an indoor location, it has proven very difficult, at this time of year so, we will be hosting our evaluations at forsyth park on the upper northern fields. The Times for your childs evaluations and age groups are listed below remember to bring a glove, bat, and cleats.please bring water as well. We will also have bats available to use if your child does not have one.
With that the evaluations will be 12U 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. 14U 1130 a.m. - 2 p.m. 10U will go from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. we have had parents reach out about a 10U so we have added that time for evaluations. Please share with anyone you might know who is interested.
