sis hit us close to our hearts and opened our eyes to exactly what a family faces when their child is confronted with years of arduous treatments. Spencer’s experience has shown us that the daily joys of childhood have taken a back seat to the rigorous treatments and hospitalizations. Children need something to put a smile on their faces during these grueling times. Additional stress and fear was put on Spencer’s family when his mom had to quit her job to care for him. We know that they are not alone in this battle. Many other families are in similar situations. Our hope is that we can help lessen the stress that children suffer during their fight against cancer, and reduce the financial burden that parents face. Parents can then focus on what really matters - putting smiles back on their children’s faces and helping them become cancer survivors.
